Marry My Husband is a K-Drama that premiered on Amazon Prime Video in January 2024. The series is available in both English Sub and English Dub, with all 16 episodes of Season 1 ready to stream. The question is: Is this a series you should stream or skip?
Not My Normal Cup of Tea
In the interest of full transparency, I’m not typically a K-Drama girlie. This was actually the first one I’ve ever watched. I stumbled across a promo video on TikTok, and it caught my interest enough to give it a shot. After finishing it, I can honestly say — I enjoyed it way more than expected. If this is what K-Dramas are like, I might have just found a new favorite genre.
What Is Marry My Husband About?
Don’t worry, no spoilers here — just the basics. Marry My Husband follows a woman diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer who discovers her husband and best friend are having an affair. Before the disease can take her, they murder her — only for her to wake up ten years in the past. Now, she’s determined to rewrite her future and make sure her enemies get exactly what they deserve. Can she change her fate?

The title alone grabbed me. Even my daughter commented on how weird it sounded — which, honestly, made me want to see what it was about even more. The show’s time-loop concept is gripping, and once it starts, it doesn’t let go. I never found myself bored or tempted to pause; it held my attention all 16 episodes through.
Subtitles or English Dub Audio?
If you’re watching the English Dub, keep the subtitles on. Yes, the dialogue won’t match exactly — but you’ll catch emotional nuances and tone that get lost in translation. For instance, there’s a scene where the husband says something truly vile that’s softened in the English version. Keeping subtitles on lets you experience the full range of emotion and intent. The Dub can be cheesy at times, but it’s still enjoyable — especially if, like me, you’re watching during the day and multitasking with kids around.

The Music
The soundtrack for the entire series is stunning. The music complements every emotional beat perfectly — soft, haunting, and cinematic. If you’re someone who pays attention to a show’s score as much as the story, this one will stick with you. It’s one of those rare soundtracks that elevates the storytelling.

Mommy Approves: 9/10
This mama absolutely approves of Marry My Husband. If you’re looking for something emotional, dramatic, and just a little different, give it a try. The story keeps you guessing with twists that pay off. Around Episodes 10 and 11, I wondered how it could possibly stretch to 16 — but it does, and beautifully. The pacing, acting, and character arcs are top-tier.
Despite each episode being about an hour long — and having two kids running around — I binged all 16 episodes in about three or four days. That alone says a lot.
The first season of Marry My Husband is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video — included with a Prime membership. If you’re not currently subscribed, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial and watch it risk-free.
