Mafia Blast is a paid-to-play game you can download directly to your smartphone. When I first saw an ad for Mafia Blast, I’ll be honest—I immediately thought, “Okay, this has to be a scam.” I mean, how could a simple match-and-attack game pay out real money? This wasn’t like JustPlay or PlayTest Pro, which are third-party apps that pay you to play other games. This one claimed it paid you directly for playing its own game.

After seeing 4 or 5 ads for it, curiosity finally won. I downloaded Mafia Blast thinking, “Worst case, I waste a little time.” It actually sat on my phone for weeks before I remembered it was even there. Then, one afternoon while waiting in the car line at school, I decided to give it a try.

So what’s the verdict? Is Mafia Blast legit or another fake “money-making” game? Will it actually pay, and if so, how does it work? Keep reading for my honest 2025 review.

What Is Mafia Blast?

Mafia Blast puts you in charge of a gangster family, but it’s not as violent as it sounds. The gameplay is actually a strategic color block-matching puzzle with a fun twist. When you match a certain number of blocks, you unlock boosts—different weapons used to attack enemies standing in front of you. Each level has multiple rounds of enemies, and your goal is to clear them using the moves you’re given.

You earn in-game cash as you beat levels. That cash can be used to buy extra boosts, or if you’re short, you can watch an ad to earn a boost instantly. The game definitely leans into its ad-supported model, but it’s still surprisingly entertaining for what it is.

How Does Mafia Blast Turn Into Real Money?

Every round you complete earns you coins, and those coins can be exchanged for real cash. Here’s the basic conversion chart:

  • 50,000 coins = $0.05
  • 100,000 coins = $0.10
  • 500,000 coins = $0.50
  • 1,000,000 coins = $1.00
  • 5,000,000 coins = $5.00
  • 10,000,000 coins = $10.00

The app also limits how much you can withdraw each day:

  • $0.05 – up to 5 times per day
  • $0.10 – up to 5 times per day
  • $0.50 – up to 5 times per day
  • $1 – once per day
  • $5 – once per day
  • $10 – once per day

So technically, if you maxed everything out, you could cash out around $19.25 per day.

Can You Actually Earn $19.25 a Day?

Maybe, but it depends on how much you play. I tested it casually and made about $0.60 while waiting in the pickup line at school. You can double your earnings after each round by watching ads—and you can actually hit the “watch another” button repeatedly. For example, if you earned 10,000 coins in one round, you can watch a few ads in a row and bump that up to 50,000 coins or more.

So yes, there’s potential to earn more, but you’ll definitely be spending a lot of time watching ads.

Is Mafia Blast Legit or a Scam?

Here’s the part that surprised me—Mafia Blast is legit. If you use PayPal, you can actually cash out your earnings. Payments were nearly instant for me: I hit “redeem,” and a few seconds later, the payment from the developer showed up in my PayPal account.

Note: The game can be glitchy at times. If the redeem button stops working or something freezes, just close the app and reopen it. That’s fixed it every time for me.

How Does Mafia Blast Make Money?

Simple: ads. You’ll see one after every level and before every cash-out. Every ad you watch helps the developers earn revenue, which is how they can afford to pay players real money. They make extra when users click or download other apps from those ads. So while it’s free for you to play, your attention is what keeps the system running.

Mom Unfiltered’s Verdict: Do We Approve?

Yes, but with realistic expectations. Mafia Blast won’t pay your rent or replace your job, but it’s a fun, easy way to make a few extra bucks when you have downtime. Whether you’re in the car line, sitting through swim practice, or killing time on your lunch break, it’s something to do that actually pays a little.

If you played consistently and somehow managed to hit the daily limit, that’s about $577 a month. Even half of that is still solid grocery or gas money. And honestly, who couldn’t use an extra $150 or $300 a month?

Mom Unfiltered definitely approves this one as a casual side hustle. You’re not going to get rich—but you can have fun, relax, and make a little money while doing it. If you’re curious, you can find Mafia Blast in the App Store or click here to download it. Give it a try and tell us in the comments how much you’ve made!
