Caden App Review 2025: Why You Should Delete It Immediately
If you’ve tried opening the Caden app lately, you probably saw it was “under maintenance” for months. Well, it’s finally back—and it’s worse than ever. Here’s why you should delete it right now.
For months, the app displayed messages like “under maintenance” and “still collecting data while we work on new, great things.” When it finally came back online, I expected improvements. What I got instead? A complete mess.
As someone who loved and recommended this app before, I’m honestly disgusted by what they did. Here’s why I no longer trust the Caden app—and why you should disconnect your data and walk away too.
What Made the Caden App Good Before
Let’s be fair: when I first reviewed Caden, it was fantastic for passive income. It was one of the best “get paid for your data” apps around, and here’s why users loved it:
- ✅ Easy to set up
- ✅ Link your accounts once and forget it
- ✅ Transparent, fair payout system
- ✅ 100 points = $1
- ✅ $40–$45 cash-out minimum, paid via PayPal
That was Caden at its best—simple, reliable, and rewarding.

Then It Went ‘Under Maintenance’ for Months
For about two months, users couldn’t really use the app at all. It showed a vague message saying:
“We’re still collecting data and giving you points while we work on new, great things.”
They asked users to be patient and implied big improvements were coming. Many of us waited—and we kept our accounts connected because, at that point, we couldn’t even disconnect them.
The New Update Is Garbage
After months of waiting, here’s what we actually got:
- Points were devalued by 90%.
- Old system: 45,000 points = $45
- New system: 45,000 points = $4.50

- They kept the same minimum cash-out threshold but made it basically worthless.
- They retroactively changed your entire payout history to match the new rate—pretending it was always this way.
If you were working toward a cash-out before this update? Too bad. Now you need ten times more points to earn the same money. It’s an absolute slap in the face to loyal users.
They’re Gaslighting Users
This is the part that really set me off: when you check your past redemptions now, they’re listed at the new rate. It looks like you’ve always earned $4.50 for 45,000 points—which is completely false.
- ✅ It’s a rewrite of your real earning history.
- ✅ It’s designed to hide the payout change.
- ✅ It’s downright shady.
If you ask me? That’s not just bad business—it’s manipulative.

Reviews on the App Store Are Furious
I’m not the only one who’s frustrated. Just look at the App Store reviews:
- People had enough points to cash out before the update.
- Now they can’t get what they were promised.
- Some users say they can’t cash out at all under the new system.
It’s a bait-and-switch that completely destroyed user trust.
Oh, and Your Points Expire
As if that wasn’t enough, there’s another awful twist:
- ✅ Points expire after 7 months.
- ✅ With the new conversion rate, it’s nearly impossible for most people to hit the cash-out minimum before expiration.
Translation? The system is set up so you’ll probably lose your earnings before you can withdraw them.
So What Should You Do?
Here’s what I recommend:
1️⃣ Disconnect Your Data Sources
Caden is still linked to whatever accounts you connected—your bank, email, or shopping data. If you just delete the app without unlinking, they can still collect your data. Go disconnect permissions before uninstalling the app.
2️⃣ Consider Keeping Your Account (Disconnected)
There’s a lot of chatter about potential class action lawsuits. If you want proof you used the app and earned points, don’t delete your account completely yet. Just disconnect your data and keep your account as documentation.
3️⃣ Think Hard Before Giving the Caden App Another Chance
Caden spent months promising “something great” while silently planning to gut payouts. They destroyed their credibility. Don’t let them fool you twice—and don’t give them your data for pennies.
On Reddit side hustle threads, users are already reporting that the new cash-out system doesn’t even work. So even if you stick around, you might never get paid at all.

Final Verdict: Just Don’t Bother
I used to really recommend this app. I thought it was one of the most fair and transparent ways to earn a little extra. But that’s over. Caden didn’t just tweak their system—they gutted it.
They devalued your points, rewrote your earning history, and tried to hide it. That’s not just disappointing. It’s dishonest.
I can’t recommend Caden anymore.
If You Read My Old Review
If you landed here from my older positive review, please read this before you open the app again. I don’t want anyone wasting time or data for a payout they’ll never receive.
If anything changes for the better, I’ll update this post. But for now? It’s a hard no from me.
