Is ProGamer actually worth your time… or just another app that pays you in pocket change?
If you’ve ever downloaded one of these “play games and earn money” apps, you already know how this usually goes.
Big promises. Flashy graphics. And then you spend 20 minutes tapping your screen just to earn… basically nothing.
So when I tested ProGamer, I went in expecting more of the same.
But instead of guessing, I actually used it, tracked what I earned, cashed out, and paid attention to how it works behind the scenes.
Here’s what actually happened.
What Is ProGamer?
ProGamer is a mobile rewards app (currently on iOS) that claims to pay you for playing games and interacting with the app.
The basic idea is simple:
- Play games
- Earn points
- Let those points convert into cash
- Cash out through PayPal
If that sounds familiar, it’s because it’s basically the same concept as apps like JustPlay and PlayHive.
But once you actually start using it… the details matter.

How Does ProGamer Work?
Getting started is easy:
- Download the app
- Create an account
- Pick a game
- Start earning points
- Wait for your earnings to update
And that last part is where things start to feel a little different.
Your earnings don’t update instantly. Instead, they refresh every 3 hours.
So instead of seeing exactly what you earned right away, you’re kind of waiting to find out what your time was worth.
How Much Money Can You Actually Make?
Let’s get into the part that actually matters.
Here’s what I earned during testing:
- 5,559 points = $0.048
- 50,576 points = $0.38
That works out to roughly:
130,000+ points = $1
Which… yeah. That’s a lot of points for not a lot of money.
In a shorter session (about 15 minutes), I earned:
~20,000 points
Which comes out to roughly:
$0.15–$0.20 per hour
So no — this is not a side hustle.
This is more of a “small extra money while you’re already on your phone” type of app.

Why Your First Earnings Might Look Better Than They Should
This is something I noticed while testing — and it explains a lot.
When you first start using ProGamer, you get a small welcome bonus (around 1,000 points) added to your account.
That doesn’t sound huge, but it can make your early earnings feel a little better than they actually are.
Once that boost is gone, your earning rate slows down… and what you make starts to look a lot more like the real long-term average.
So if your first session feels surprisingly decent?
Yeah… there’s a reason for that.
Do You Actually Have to Play the Games?
Not really.
You can play the games, but a lot of your earnings come from interacting with the app itself — including ads and in-app actions.
So depending on how you use it, this can feel less like “gaming” and more like:
- opening the app
- tapping through tasks
- triggering rewards
- checking back later
It works… it’s just not exactly what the app markets it as.

How Do You Cash Out?
This is one of the better parts of the app.
The minimum cashout is just $0.05 via PayPal, which means you don’t have to grind forever just to test if it works.
I tested two payouts:
- $0.06 → arrived within minutes
- $0.38 → also arrived quickly
They say it can take 3–5 business days, but in my experience, it was basically instant.
Is ProGamer Legit or a Scam?
It’s legit… but don’t get excited.
The app does pay. It cashes out. It works.
But there are a few things that feel a little off:
- The earnings are very low
- The “testing games” idea is misleading
- The app feels a little unfinished
- There aren’t many real reviews yet
Nothing about it screams “scam.”
But it also doesn’t feel like a polished, trustworthy platform either.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Free to use
- Low $0.05 cashout
- Fast payouts (in testing)
- Easy to start
Cons:
- Very low earnings
- Delayed earnings updates
- Repetitive gameplay
- Feels a little thrown together
Final Verdict
ProGamer is one of those apps that technically delivers… but not in a way that’s going to make you any real money.
It works. It pays. It’s just slow.
If you’re already scrolling your phone and don’t mind earning a few cents here and there, it’s fine.
But if you’re expecting anything more than that?
You’re going to be disappointed.
Bottom line: ProGamer is a micro-earner, not a money-maker.
If you’ve tried it, I’d love to hear what your payouts looked like — especially after that initial welcome boost.
